In order to ensure user privacy, KonanLink uses
each user's PC as the search server, thus creating search index files on the user's
PC. Since personal PC is used as the search server, KonanLink does not (and
does not need to) save the user's file or mail to any external sources.
In other words, KonanLink creates or keeps index
file up to date by using the user's PC resource. Therefore, while indexing
process is running, there may be a slight increase in laptop battery
consumption.
For this reason, by default, KonanLink only
performs indexing process when the user's laptop is connected to power.
However, in this case, any file or mail saved to the user's laptop while it is
not connected to power will not be searched until the laptop is connected to
power and indexing process is running again.
If you wish to run indexing process even when the
laptop is not connected to power, then change "Laptop power settings"
to "Always process indexing."
