[공지] 검색결과가 너무 많아서 필요한 파일을 찾기가 어렵다면……

코난링크에서 검색을 했더니 수백 개의 검색결과가 나온다면, 정작 필요한 파일을 찾기가 어려울 수 있습니다.

이럴 때는 검색창에 여러 개의 검색어를 입력하면, 검색결과의 개수를 줄일 수 있어서 원하는 파일을 보다 쉽게 찾을 수 있습니다. 예를 들어, 검색창에 코난링크를 입력하면 아래와 같이 373개의 검색결과를 나타나지만,

코난링크 갤럭시 기프트 계약을 입력하면 검색결과를 21개로 줄일 수 있어서, 원하는 파일을 좀 더 쉽게 찾을 수 있습니다.

추가로 검색결과에서 특정 검색어가 포함되지 않도록 해주는 –텍스트를 적용해서 검색결과를 더욱 좁힐 수 있습니다. 예를 들어, 코난링크 갤럭시 기프트 계약 -GCS를 검색창에 입력하면, 코난링크 갤럭시 기프트 계약으로 먼저 검색한 후에 GCS라는 단어가 들어간 것은 검색결과에서 제외하므로 검색결과를 10개로 줄일 수 있습니다.

또한, 파일의 종류와 파일이 생성되거나 수정된 날짜를 이용해서 검색결과를 보다 좁힐 수 있습니다.

[Notification] KonanLink provides time setting option for indexing process

In order to ensure user privacy, KonanLink uses each user's PC as the search server, thus creating search index files on the user's PC. Since personal PC is used as the search server, KonanLink does not (and does not need to) save the user's file or mail to any external sources.

In other words, KonanLink creates or keeps index file up to date by using user's PC resources. Therefore, depending on the user's PC environment, it may be inevitable that the PC momentarily runs slowly during indexing process.

If you feel discomfort in using your PC, you can change "Index time settings" to only process indexing at night. However, please be aware that since indexing process will only run at night, files and mails saved during the day can only be scanned from KonanLink after 8pm.

[Notification] KonanLink provides laptop power connection setting for indexing process

In order to ensure user privacy, KonanLink uses each user's PC as the search server, thus creating search index files on the user's PC. Since personal PC is used as the search server, KonanLink does not (and does not need to) save the user's file or mail to any external sources.

In other words, KonanLink creates or keeps index file up to date by using the user's PC resource. Therefore, while indexing process is running, there may be a slight increase in laptop battery consumption.

For this reason, by default, KonanLink only performs indexing process when the user's laptop is connected to power. However, in this case, any file or mail saved to the user's laptop while it is not connected to power will not be searched until the laptop is connected to power and indexing process is running again.

If you wish to run indexing process even when the laptop is not connected to power, then change "Laptop power settings" to "Always process indexing."

즉, 사용자 PC의 리소스를 사용해서 색인 파일을 생성하거나 최신의 상태로 유지합니다. 따라서 색인 작업을 수행하는 동안 사용자 PC의 환경에 따라서는 불가피하게 PC의 응답이 잠깐 동안 느려질 수도 있습니다.

만약 PC의 사용에 불편함을 조금이라도 느낀다면, “색인 작업 시간 설정”을 야간에만 수행하는 것으로 변경할 수 있습니다. 다만 이제 야간에만 색인 작업이 수행되므로, 오늘 낮에 저장한 파일이나 메일은 오후 8시 이후에 색인되고 검색됩니다.

즉, 사용자 PC의 리소스를 사용해서 색인 파일을 생성하거나 최신의 상태로 유지합니다. 따라서 노트북에서 색인 작업을 수행한다면 조금이라도 배터리의 소모가 빨라질 것입니다.

이런 이유로 코난링크는 사용자의 노트북이 전원에 연결된 경우에만 색인 작업을 수행하는 것으로 기본으로 합니다. 다만 이 경우에는 사용자의 노트북이 전원에 연결되어 있지 않은 상태에서 저장된 파일이나 메일은 다시 노트북이 전원에 연결되어서 색인 작업을 수행하기 전까지는 검색되지 않습니다.

만약 노트북이 전원에 연결되지 않은 경우에도 색인 작업을 수행하고 싶다면, “노트북 전원 설정”을 항상 색인 작업을 수행하는 것으로 변경하면 됩니다.
